It has received numerous awards, including the IMLS General Support Grant and the NEA Planning and Stabilization Grant. Two new exhibits open in September at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. Hand Stitch 2021: Works by Texas Artists opens September 24 during Family Fiestas Patrias. The exhibition will run through November 28. Majesty and Tenderness (2022) is a survey of ten Texas artists working with thread and needle. The textile arts movement has received increasing recognition internationally.
